How a TokenClimate engagement works.
We work with organisations that already spend at least €2,000 a month on AI. It all starts with a 30-minute call.

What you get
We list your teams' AI tools and who pays for what, and connect whatever can be connected. The dashboard runs from the first key. Then the first review: what your AI costs and what it emits, by team and by tool, with the assumptions behind each figure.

A one-hour conversation and one access key per tool. Then 30 minutes to walk you through the review, with your leadership team if you like.

The figures update themselves. We go through what moved in your data and set it against the month's news: model releases, price changes, new research on energy and climate. You get a report written for you, with what that news changes on your side and what each option to cut back would save. TokenClimate is AI-native, but there is always a human to work with you.

- Anthropic and OpenAI already have a dashboard. What do you add?
- Each one only shows its own tool. We bring yours together by team, with the CO₂e next to the cost, and go through the figures with you every month.
- Are your carbon figures reliable?
- Anthropic and OpenAI do not publish the energy of their models, so the carbon figure is an estimate. We tell you what it rests on. The cost comes from your actual volumes. The calculation method →
- Which tools connect?
- Claude Code, the Claude API and the OpenAI API, straight away, plus Codex when it runs on an OpenAI API key, counted with the OpenAI API. For any other tool, we first check that your account gives access to its usage. If it doesn't, we don't connect it and you don't pay for it. Chat (claude.ai, ChatGPT) is not measured today.
- Couldn't we do this in-house?
- Yes, if your teams have the time. Our method is already built, and it is public.
- How much does it cost?
- It depends on your tools and how much you spend on AI. We send you the price in writing after the 30-minute call.

I'm Gaëtan Wittebolle. I spent nearly ten years in carbon and climate strategy, 4 at EY and 5 as an independent consultant for large French companies. I created Carbonara and claude-carbon.

It all started with claude-carbon, which I released in April 2026 to measure my own Claude Code use, as open source. TokenClimate does the same for a whole team.
A bash hook logs each session in a local SQLite database, and slash commands produce text and PNG reports. The data stays on the developer's machine.
